Power your future with AboitizPower.

As Commercial and Documentation Associate, you will oversee project documentation, contract administration, and financial tracking for our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, contributing directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Project Manager, project delivery team, and EPC contractors to maintain smooth commercial operations, ensure accurate cost reporting, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Cost Estimation & Financial Monitoring: Prepare accurate project cost estimates, develop and update costing databases, evaluate EPC contractor billings against verified deliverables, and track overall payment schedules.
  • Project Planning & Schedule Controls: Assist in planning across all project phases, review contractor schedules against actual progress, develop work breakdown structures (WBS) to forecast cash flow and resource needs, and help create recovery plans for schedule slippage.
  • Commercial & Contract Administration: Review EPC contractor Bills of Quantities (BOQ), ensure compliance with job orders and contract terms to facilitate timely billing approvals, and assist in contract analysis.
  • Document Control & ISO Compliance: Maintain standard document registers, manage incoming and outgoing project correspondence, control technical deliverables (e.g., drawings, test completion certificates, and O&M manuals), and provide necessary documentation for ISO and IMS audits.
  • Site Administrative Support: Organize and facilitate monthly coordination meetings, manage site office supply inventory and project vehicle utilization, and ensure all team reference materials are securely archived.
  • Data Security & Policy Adherence: Safeguard sensitive business information—such as feasibility studies, financial assessments, and engineering designs—in accordance with company Information Management and safety guidelines.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

  • Demonstrates Rigorous Detail and Quality Focus: Maintains precision when handling financial figures, contractor invoices, legal contracts, and technical transmittals.
  • Manages Time and Multiple Priorities: Balances daily commercial controls, meeting facilitation, and document register updates in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment.
  • Communicates and Collaborates Effectively: Coordinates seamlessly across project managers, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory contacts.
  • Possesses Strong Problem-Solving Acumen: Analyzes discrepancies between planned and actual progress or budgets, identifying practical remedies early.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree of any course.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in project commercial support, cost control, or document control.
  • Project Experience: At least 2 years of direct involvement in capital project execution, preferably within the power generation, energy storage (BESS), or heavy infrastructure sectors.

Technical / Functional Skills:

  • Strong foundation in financial planning, project budgeting, and cost control.
  • Solid understanding of contract administration, EPC billing review, and Bill of Quantity (BOQ) evaluation.
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling techniques, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and cash flow forecasting.
  • Competence in technical data reporting, document indexing, and quality management systems (IMS / ISO standards).
  • High digital dexterity with spreadsheet applications, document management software, and MS Office tools.
