As a Water Treatment Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, on-site inspection, local monitoring, and routine minor maintenance of the water and wastewater treatment systems and related auxiliary equipment and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Operations and Maintenance Departments, SHE, CSU, and the Water Treatment and Chemical Laboratory to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

 

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

 

  • Operate water and wastewater treatment equipment following approved procedures to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable production of required water quality.
  • Monitor and evaluate equipment operating conditions, check water quality parameters for deviations, maintain log sheets, and execute necessary corrective measures.
  • Ensure the proper treatment of wastewater in compliance with government regulations, and maintain the integrity of water basins and chemical tanks to prevent spillage or contamination.
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and conduct minor repairs on auxiliary equipment, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with the Maintenance Department.

 

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

  • Possesses fundamental competency in Water Treatment Operations and Plant Safety, Health, & Environment Management.
  • Has a working awareness of Power Plant Operations, Chemistry Control, Regulatory Compliance, and Permit Requirements.
  • Can effectively coordinate with the plant's Chemical Analyst to implement proper corrective actions based on water quality monitoring results.
  • Conforms strictly to the company’s management system policies, protecting information assets and adhering to standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and others.

 

 

What You Will Need: Education & Experience:

 

  • Vocational degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology 
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in water and wastewater treatment operations.
  • No specific professional license, leadership experience, or project experience is required.

 

Technical / Functional Skills:

 

  • Proficiency in water and wastewater treatment operations, laboratory management, and maintaining operational log sheets.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting auxiliary equipment, evaluating operating conditions, and conducting minor mechanical repairs
