Technical Sales Engineer
The Technical Sales Engineer drives profitable growth by combining technical expertise with strong commercial execution. This role manages the full sales cycle — from identifying opportunities and understanding customer needs, to proposal development, contract closing, and delivery support.
In a growing business environment, the role also supports vendor coordination, process improvement, and effective positioning of integrated power solutions in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Manage sales pipeline and lead tracking
- Support market mapping initiatives
Sales Execution
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and bid submissions
- Coordinate technical and commercial requirements
- Support negotiations within approved guidelines
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation
Technical & Product Support
- Act as SME for electrical and power solutions
- Respond to technical queries
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards
Account & Project Support
- Manage assigned accounts and client relationships
- Support project handover and delivery monitoring
- Track billing and payment follow-ups
Vendor Coordination
- Support supplier sourcing and Request For Quotations (RFQs)
- Manage technical submissions and accreditation
- Monitor supplier performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in technical or solution-based sales within the power, electrical, or electrical engineering services industry
- Strong working knowledge of power distribution systems and LV/MV equipment
- Experience in portfolio management and contract execution
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage the full sales cycle and build client relationships
