As the Tax and Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for timely and proper recording of financial transactions to assigned General Ledger (GL) accounts in conformity with accounting standards, departmental SOPs, and business rules established in the financial system. The position is also responsible for ensuring accuracy of assigned GL accounts as source of information for financial reporting. It also includes providing assistance to the AP Retail in the areas of Finance and Accounting, and in supporting the review of the BU’s financial results and tax strategies including tax claims/refunds. and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Finance and Accounting Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Reviews financial transactions affecting assigned GL accounts and
    prepares journal entries ensuring conformity with accounting
    standards, in accordance with company policy, business rules, and
    procedures established in the financial system and distributed to
    proper accounts and cost centers

  • Performs regular substantiation, reconciliation, and analysis of
    assigned GL accounts to ascertain the accuracy of the information
    in the various modules of the financial system; ensures accuracy of
    balances of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expense accounts;
    prepares entries for necessary correction and adjustment

  • Completes assigned month-end and year-end tasks in accordance
    with established due dates; ascertains completeness of recorded
    costs and expenses and makes necessary accruals.

 

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

  • Knowledge of automated financial systems (ERP System)

  • Knowledge of PFRS, SEC regulations, and Internal Revenue regulations

  • Knowledge of MS Office

  • Analytical skills, Communication skills, Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision, Ability to work quickly and accurately

 

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field

  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting

  • Certified Public Accountant and Certified Tax Technician are an advantage

 

Technical / Functional Skills:
