As Systems Engineer for Balance Of Plant (BOP), you will be responsible for the technical integrity, reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of all BOP mechanical systems and auxiliaries. The role supports strategic asset management activities including maintenance strategy development, Lifecycle Management Plans (LCMP), Technical Plans, asset health monitoring, and obsolescence management to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the ETSV team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the operational performance and reliability of BOP systems including Coal Handling, Water Treatment Systems (Demineralized, Industrial Waste, Potable, Sanitary, Storm), Compressed Air Systems, Fly Ash Handling, Cooling Systems, Plant Fire Protection Systems, Hydrogen Plant and other auxiliary systems.
• leading advanced troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), failure investigations, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions under the guidance of the Mechanical Systems Supervisor in times of complex mechanical and system-related issues.
• supporting predictive maintenance and asset reliability programs through the application and interpretation of condition monitoring technologies including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic inspection, lubrication analysis, and other applicable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods to identify degradation mechanisms, prevent equipment failures, and improve long-term asset reliability and availability.
• supporting Management of Change (MOC), plant optimization initiatives, system upgrades, technical evaluations, and engineering design improvements to sustain operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and long-term plant asset integrity.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Has an experience in Boiler, Turbine and BOP areas.
• Has knowledge in ISO9001 Quality Management

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4 years of experience working with Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment on coal-fired power plants.
