System Operation and Substation Engineer
Job Summary
The Systems Operations and Substation Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling the power system within the franchise area to ensure efficient, reliable, and economical operations. This includes executing maintenance of substations and components, recording and analyzing substation data, conducting load switching and transfers, and coordinating with power suppliers. The role ensures compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and company policies to deliver uninterrupted, high-quality power to customers.
Job Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in power system operations, substation maintenance, or related fields is advantegous.
- Hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining power substations and their components is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with load switching, power system controls, and coordination with power suppliers.
- Familiarity with system design, maintenance, and operations is advantageous
- Preferably with a professional driver's license with restriction codes 1 and 2.
