The Support Engineer acts as an extension and the right hand of the Engineering and Technical Services (ETSV) Department Head in the governance of the department. Under the guidance of the Engineering Support Supervisor, the primary mission is to serve as a "Systems Integrator," seamlessly unifying all Systems Engineering and Reliability and Performance functions across Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, I&C/DCS Systems, and Reliability and Performance Management. A critical component of this role is the meticulous tracking and management of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operational Expenditure (OPEX), specifically focusing on forecasted spend, actual spend, and utilization. The Support Engineer is tasked with balancing the department's cash flow by allocating budgets between expenditures while maintaining consistent utilization KPIs and cost control measures to prevent budget overruns. Furthermore, the role is responsible for identifying and consolidating CAPEX projects, providing governance and support for those due for defense before the Investment and Projects Governance Committee (IPGC). Additionally, the role leads comprehensive asset condition reviews, provides governance over maintenance strategy revisions, outage scope revisions, and Life of Plant Plan (LOPP) revisions, and oversees ETSV Business Process Revisions driven by operational experiences. The Support Engineer acts as the primary liaison with diverse stakeholders, heavily partnering with the Finance department to align on expenditures, and maintaining critical relationships with internal and external auditors.Bottom of Form
