Solar Project Lead
Job Location: Accepting applicants willing to work in our offices either in Cebu, Makati or Malvar, Batangas.
Employment Type: 1 Year Fixed-Term employment contract
Job Purpose: The Solar Project Lead ensures the successful execution and delivery of solar power projects by overseeing end-to-end project management and design activities, and by maintaining alignment with EPC partners to meet agreed-upon timelines, quality and safety standards; and performance goals
Job Responsibilities:
- Site Assessment and Feasibility Studies
- Coordinate site assessments and feasibility studies
- Ensure that site conditions are suitable for solar power plant development.
- Solar Energy System Knowledge:
- Possess a deep understanding of solar energy systems and technologies
- Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of solar power systems.
- Construction Oversight
- Oversee the construction of the solar power plant, ensuring that work is performed according to plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors
- Commissioning and Testing
- Oversee the commissioning and testing of the solar power plant.
- Ensure that the plant operates efficiently and meets performance targets.
- Project Planning and Execution
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all project phases from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Manage project scope, ensuring that all deliverables are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Licensed Engineer
- At least 5 years of project management experience in solar energy projects, including ground-mounted and/or rooftop solar installations
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems design, construction, and operations
- Proven experience in end-to-end project execution, including permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Familiarity with working alongside or managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors
- Solid knowledge of grid connection standards, electrical safety codes, and renewable energy regulations
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and able to manage schedules, budgets, and risks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, and regulatory teams
