Smart Grid and R&D Manager
In this role, you will lead the strategic modernization of the distribution network by overseeing the integration of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and other Smart Grid Projects as well as R&D initiatives. You will provide specialized technical support to DUs to optimize the utilization of intelligent grid technologies, ensuring reliability, safety, and innovation to enable the organization to achieve its long-term digital transformation objectives.
AP DU TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP MANAGEMENT
- Facilitate the formation and discussions in the technical working groups and focus group discussions specifically for the development of smart grid initiatives and innovation policies.
- Collaborates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on digital processes and systems to recommend plans for technology pilot programs.
- Direct the strategic rollout and integration of AMI and ADMS modules (SCADA, DMS, OMS) to ensure seamless data flow between smart meters and enterprise grid operations.
- Oversee the configuration and maintenance of grid automation systems to align with network operational requirements and modern distribution standards.
- Apply project management principles to resource-intensive tasks such as the deployment of new smart grid infrastructure and software.
- Prepare and monitor the department's requirements for specialized technical materials, R&D equipment, and skilled manpower.
- Interpret complex grid data into actionable business insights to improve the distribution units' operational efficiency and automated response.
- Facilitate the identification and mitigation of high-level, strategic risks associated with digital assets, such as cybersecurity threats or technology obsolescence.
- Develops governance documents for experimental technologies and implements R&D projects to test emerging distribution solutions.
- Ensure that new R&D frameworks and smart grid systems are regularly audited to verify effectiveness and alignment with company policy.
- Formulate and update the roadmap for distribution automation, including the implementation of advanced applications (eg FLISR, DERMS)
- Supervise the development and execution of rigorous test plans for new ADMS functionalities, system upgrades, and security patches.
- Ensure section goals and development plans are aligned with the organization's objectives and attained in the best means possible.
- Facilitates necessary administrative tasks for regular company procedures, such as but not limited to requests for payments, purchase orders, and liquidations.
- Prepare, recommend, and monitor the section’s requirements on materials, equipment, and manpower.

- Ensure compliance and adherence to ISO IMS, AMS, and other implemented management systems.
- Readily assumes tasks requiring immediate or urgent attention that may be reasonably assigned by the Team Leader.

Requirements :
Professional: 5 years related experience
Leadership: 3 years leadership
Project: 2 years handling technical project
