Senior Assistant Vice President for Business Development
The position holder is responsible for managing the day to day negotiations, overseeing the due diligence and general deal process such as ensuring adherence to procedures,
guidelines and timelines.
Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:

Implement growth strategies through M&A

Manage the implementation of business plans and financial models
Due Diligence:

Manage financial, operational, and legal assessments

Coordinate with cross-functional teams

Identify and mitigate M&A risks
Deal Sourcing & Evaluation:

Assist in maintaining a pipeline of potential deals

Evaluate target companies
Negotiations:

Lead negotiations and structure deals
-
Maximize value and mitigate risks
Stakeholder Management:

Assist in maintaining relationships with counterparties

Communicate with senior management
-
Provide regular updates on M&A activities
Risk Assessment:

Manage risk assessments and secure sign offs from respective internal parties

Compile risk assessment reports and ensure all potential risks are documented
Network and Relationship Building:

Maintain and develop industry relationships

Identify new business opportunities at events and conferences

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Management, Engineering, or other related fields.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in project development, project finance, economic analysis, or power marketing.
At least 4 years of experience in the Philippine power industry, preferably in the renewable energy sector, focused on business development, project delivery, or energy marketing.
Tangible experience in closing renewable energy M&A transactions or project acquisitions. -
Solid understanding of the Philippine energy market and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Strong background in financial modeling and economic evaluation.

Effective in project management across technical and commercial functions.

Familiarity with emerging power and renewable energy technologies (preferred but not required).

Proven capability to lead teams, manage multiple workstreams, and drive results under pressure.
