The Security Specialist will be responsible for all issues related to the security and protection of all team members, facilities, vital company information, etc. and will be accountable for the execution and adaptation of the company’s security programs, policies and procedures. This role also provides support to all security requirements of the Project including liaising with local law enforcement agencies, local military units, local government units, and ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and permits.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

This role combines operational security management, strategic planning, and team collaboration.

 

  1. Investigations, Planning & Liaison

  • Conduct investigations on security-related matters, examine and evaluate issues, complaints, and prepare reports of findings.

  • Initiate and oversee security investigations as directed by the HSSE Manager.

  • Assist the HSSE Manager to develop, review, and implement the Security Management Plan and emergency security response plans in collaboration with the contractor and local authorities.

  • Maintain close oversight of all executive protection requirements providing pre-planning intelligence information to appropriate personnel.

  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies and gather intelligence information within the Project scope.

  • Assist in planning, writing, and coordinating with law enforcement and military elements for the facilities and Owner’s/Employer’s emergency preparedness plans, and coordinate implementation of these plans, locally.

 

  1. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare security reports for customers, company personnel, and regulatory agencies.

  • Assist in preparing and summarizing the Security budget to optimize resources and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Prepare summary Security Management Plans, programs, incident reports, and accomplishment reports, and apply mitigation strategies to succeeding programs.

  • Monitor and prepare a report on Security KPIs and results.

  • Perform any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior in line with the role.

Minimum Qualification

  • Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in Security or in a similar role.

  • Law enforcement and/or military background.

  • Preferably a Certified Security Professional.
