SCM Business Partner (Geo)
The SCM Business Partner - Geo operates as a dedicated business partner to a designated business unit. This places the business partner as an interface between SCM and the wider business. The SCM BP role works closely with internal stakeholders to bring together SCM needs, influence behaviors and deliver value to the enterprise. The SCM BP is recognised as a source of SCM expertise and acts as a change agent in implementing new processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring strategic alignment of the BU and Shared services/National SCM
-
Able to articulate / communicate clearly the value proposition of 1RE SCM and ensures Shared services/National SCM provides solution to BU SCM issues

Entrepreneurially seeks opportunities to contribute Shared services/National SCM value to the BU
-
Liaises closely with business units in understanding their needs and determining their priorities, requirements and challenges and unite and synthesize these elements to ensure 1RE SCM can better serve its stakeholders

Supports Shared services/National SCM teams in defining and contextualizing strategic and category strategies as they apply to business units.

Works with 1RE SCM leadership teams to identify and execute on process improvements, as well as measuring performance

Ensures SCM practices and processes conform to SCM policies

Observes and enforces ethical procurement practices

Monitors adherence to SCM policies to ensure SCM standards are upheld

Strategy Integration and Execution
-
Works with senior stakeholders to develop the workload pipeline for BU SCM, helping to escalate and prioritize challenges. Influences and/or pushes back against senior stakeholders when necessary

Ensures early engagement of Shared services/National SCM relevant teams to BU critical projects at the appropriate time to balance the demand for and loading of 1RE SCM resources

Assists in delivering procurement services to stakeholders, supporting the local deployment of procurement strategies

Assists across procurement and contracting processes as required

Identifies, and supports the mitigation of supply assurance issues and risks as they apply to business units

Supports on the on-time delivery of items, expediting where necessary
-
Ensures 1RE SCM follows robust planning processes, delivering coherent action plans and targets

Responsible for delivering projects or initiatives or initiatives agreed between the BU and Shared services/National SCM

Stakeholder Relationship Management

Champions collaboration and finds ways to showcase BU SCM value to stakeholders
-
Takes an active role in demand management, working with stakeholders to assess their requirements
-
Works to strengthen relationships between internal stakeholders and procurement
-
Works as an internal advocate and expert on procurement technology platforms, supporting in rolling out and making the best use of systems
-
Assists with the forecasting of stakeholder requirements
-
Supports communications strategies to keep business units informed about changes to processes, technologies or policies

Business Management and Coordination
-
Establishes and leads cross-functional project teams around priority areas
-
Works with business partners to ensure end-to-end processes are operating seamlessly
-
Facilitates the interaction of internal partners and suppliers to strengthen supplier relationships

Coordinates relevant data management activities, defining and implementing stewardship strategies with stakeholders such as internal data teams, finance and IT
-
Supports benchmarking and best practice reviews: both internally and externally
Others

Oversees the procurement activities for indirect and support requirements

Prepares the annual training budget as input for Personnel Cost
-
Deliver the relevant administrative, human resources and other support functions inherent and expected from a team leader

Extend relevant support to other departments such as, but not limited to cascading and/or adopting initiatives, programs, projects and activities

Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference in accordance with ISMS policies. Maintains availability, confidentiality, and integrity of documents

Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the TL
Qualifications:
-
Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in any Engineering course

Must have experience leading or supporting strategic projects
-
With strong communication and stakeholder management skills
-
With experience in procurement process execution, contracting, and policy compliance
-
With at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain management or related functions
-
Must have at least 5 years of leadership experience
