As a SCADA Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating the Coal Handling System through SCADA to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Your role is vital in maintaining system performance, supporting real-time decision-making, and ensuring smooth coordination across operations teams. You will work closely with Coal Handling Supervisors and Operators to deliver results and contribute to a safe and sustainable energy environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Monitor and operate coal handling systems using SCADA, including unloading, conveying, dust suppression, and sampling systems
- Analyze system conditions and monitor key parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and equipment performance
- Coordinate with operators and field personnel to address alarms, faults, and operational issues
- Record operational data, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards

- Has strong attention to detail and the ability to monitor systems in real time
- Demonstrates accountability and adherence to safety and compliance standards
- Communicates effectively and collaborates well with operations teams
- Is proactive, responsive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in SCADA operations or similar control systems
- Experience in power plant or coal handling operations is an advantage
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and plant monitoring tools
- Basic knowledge of coal handling systems and power plant operations
- Familiarity with troubleshooting, alarm handling, and equipment monitoring
- Working knowledge of safety procedures (e.g., Lock-Out-Tag-Out) and operational compliance standards
