Risk Finance Specialist

Mission of function:

This position is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of risk finance strategies, ensuring the efficient administration and management of insurance programs and alternative risk transfer solutions. The role involves assisting in policy renewals, claims processing, and premium payments while ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual insurance requirements. The Risk Finance Specialist also conducts risk exposure assessments, provides analytical support for risk financing optimization initiatives, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to enhance risk transfer mechanisms. Additionally, the role contributes to the continuous improvement of risk finance processes, aligning with corporate risk management objectives. 

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management,Finance, Engineering or any related course 
• Knowledge in Risk Management, ISO 31000, ISO 27000, COSO standards, FM Global, other risk engineering standards, Insurance industry and markets
• Power Industry experience preferred  
• At least 2 years combined experience in risk management, business continuity management, risk finance, reinsurance operations, alternative risk transfer strategies,and project management
• Relevant experience in the Balanced Scorecard, internal audit and/or management systems is a plus 
• Relevant Risk Management or Finance Risk Management, Insurance or Business Continuity Management certification/s is an advantage (e.g. Risk Management Professional, Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications etc.)
