Role Summary:

The position holder supports the team by providing studies and analytics that will assist in assessing and mitigating the commercial risks associated with the portfolio contracting strategies as a whole and individually. The position supports the management of the revenue and gross margin in coordination with the RE Gen BUs and translating the strategy  into financials.

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews contracting risks as created by the commercial contract portfolio mix and performs sensitivity analysis related to these risks

  • Reviews and creates sale contracts for I-RECs as well as execution of the transfer of the I-RECs 

  • Assists in the mitigating plans and programs are in place and are being executed effectively to cover risks rooted from the commercial contract portfolio mix as a whole or to individual contract conditions that have been created

  • Supports the synthesis of  the strategy and market information of the wholesale unit of the business coupled with views from regulatory and our own internal supply and WESM optimization

  • Supports Revenue Management Supervisor on the revenue and gross margin modelling process in coordination with the Gen BUs as required for planning and budgeting, rolling forecasts, warchest, and all other analysis

  • Supports the monitoring of the contract performance.

  • Coordinates with BUs on updates to operational parameters of the power plants that will affect margins

Minimum Qualification

At least 1-2 years experience in a quantitative role, preferably in the power industry or in similar business environments

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Management, or any 4-year related course
