Project Staff - Metering Support
Job Description:
He shall be responsible for performing accuracy and functionality testing and sealing of instrument transformer (CTs and PTs) - both brand new and recovered, including the reconditioning of the instrument transformers through insulation reinforcement programs (i.e. RTV coating, etc.) and for ensuring accurate and complete metering data for asset management and/or customer care and billing data usage.
Moreover, he shall be responsible for the functionality and accuracy testing and sealing of recovered nonpower meters. For brand new ones, only sample testing (% sample size per delivery).
Lastly, he shall be responsible for ensuring proper and safe operation of the meter test benches, portable watthour testers and instrument transformer test equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plans the efficient use of resources required to implement the tasks assigned to achieve the section's programs and output
- Coordinates with fellow team members in carrying out assignments
- Monitors stock of materials needed in department operations and prepares requisition when necessary. Checks with Materials Management for the timeliness of the delivery or availability.
- Acts on and supports safety initiatives and programs of the company
- Stands as back-up to a fellow who is absent or on leave
- Readily assumes tasks requiring immediate or urgent attention that may be reasonably assigned by the Team Leader
- Ensure one’s personal goals and development plans are aligned with the organization's objectives and attained in the best means possible.
- Ensures compliance and adherence to ISO IMS, AMS and other implemented management systems
- Readily assumes tasks requiring immediate or urgent attention that may be reasonably assigned by the Team Leader
- Performs accuracy and functionality tests on all brand new (sample batch testing) and recovered conventional and specialized single-phase meters for non-power account applications
- Performs thorough testing of instrument transformers, not limited to insulation test, turns ratio test, functionality test, phase angle displacement, and other procedures like demagnetization, hydrophobicity reinforcement works (i.e. RTV coating), etc.
- Performs sealing of recovered non-power meters upon passing prescribed accuracy and operability standards and regulatory provisions
- Performs sealing of tested instrument transformers - both brand new and recovered, upon passing prescribed accuracy and operability standards and regulatory provisions
- Ensures accurate and complete migration of data to the specified monitoring sheets or files.
- Makes oneself available to attend to matters of exigent nature
Job Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer
- Must have a good comunication skills both verbal and written
- Strong organizational/documentation skills.
