Position Summary


This position plays a key role in project engineering and technical development and planning for thermal power projects.

  • Technical analysis and evaluation, feasibility studies investigations, front end engineering, budgets, schedule, contracts, procurement, stakeholder management, permits, licenses and environmental requirements of Thermal Projects.
  • Working together with different disciplines,(design, contracts, regulatory, legal, finance, communications, supply chain, IT) towards the development of Thermal Projects.
  • Development of terms of reference / bid specifications / request for proposal for engineering studies including but not limited to engineering studies, conceptual layouts, feasibility studies, front-end engineering and design (FEED), project viability, and technology comparisons.
  • Engagement and management of technical consultants, advisors, contractors and suppliers as needed for conceptualizing, planning, development & execution of power projects.
  • Ensure that the studies and projects are completed to an agreed schedule, within budget, safely and to the highest quality standards.


    Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 7 years’ experience in project engineering for power generation industry (Experience requirement may be reduced for individuals with an advanced technical or business degree, or registration as a professional engineer)
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamic cycles and power generation processes
  • Previous experience working for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of supplier of thermal power generation equipment is a strong plus
  • Previous experience with gas-fired or LNG to power project development is a strong plus
  • Experience in techno-commercial assessment of generation technology / power project modeling is desired
  • Experience in preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices
  • Experience in performance enhancement and optimization of operating assets or processes
  • Experience in analysis of plant/facility financial performance requirements against operations, maintenance, and repair costs
  • Experience in reliability engineering, statistical analyses of failure modes, and root cause failure analyses (preferred but not required)
