As Plant Engineer (Project-based), you will be responsible for ensuring that plant operations are maximized and plant equipment are maintained and working in top operating condition, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Operations & Maintenance team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

REGULAR OPERATIONS

  • Monitors plant on a daily basis and report abnormalities to immediate superior - makes necessary recommendations if possible.

  • Checks inventory of spare parts, requests for needed materials and supplies in the plant and coordinates to the client for procurement.

  • Implements standard operations procedure and work instructions of assigned plant/s.

  • Prepares work orders and manages the assigned maintenance team for proper action. 

  • Supervises Plant maintenance technician. Ensures that specific duties and responsibilities are done and daily reports are duly accomplished.

  • Monitors attendance and endorse overtime of personnel to immediate superior.

  • Submits monthly accomplishment reports and Performance reports to immediate superior and to client for review.

  • Updates monthly Key Performance Indicator TIER 2. Submits to immediate superior for review

  • Implements company policies in the plant and ensure that safety measures are complied with at all times.

  • Monthly Update of Critical Spares, Life Cycle Management Plan , Operational Risk Management Plan, Strategic Maintenance Plan, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis, and other compliance report

  • Manage Root Cause Analysis and Maintenance of Change as needed

  • Evaluates performance of team members on a periodic basis (annual and semi-annual appraisal) to determine performance level and areas for improvement.



DURING REHABILITATION PERIOD

  • Coordinates annual maintenance activities with clients. Discuss the Plan and WBS and other maintenance requirements.

 

OTHER RELATED TASKS

  • Evaluates performance of subordinates on a periodic basis to determine performance level and areas for improvement.

  • Complies with company policies and procedures, safety rules and practices.

  • Conforms to the company’s Integrated Management Systems, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.

  • Reports any Integrated Management System events/incidents or potential events or other risks to the organization.

  • Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference by:

  • Storing documents, forms, contracts, manuals, books and other documents to locked storage rooms/steel cabinets.

  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all plant records necessary for operations.

  • Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.

 

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

  • With knowledge in the Philippine Grid Code and Philippine Electrical and Mechanical Code

 

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE/ME/ECE

  • Must be a Licensed Engineer (EE/ME/ECE)

  • At least one (1) year of related experience in hydro industry
