Responsibilities  
Provides strategy and outlook in reliability, performance and technical requirements for targets, KPI o the RCOO. Fully
Leads, promotes, and maintains the ISO 50001 Energy management systems at the stations. Plans, Implements and Improves the EnMS initiatives Fully
Provides strategy and input in the performance of the facility for the competitive Seclection Process (CSP) bids. Fully
Prepares, reviews, and submits compliance reporting requirements to the DOE, SO, ERC and NGCP. Fully
Provides day-to-day leadership and expertise in reliability engineering activities that analyze and evaluate the reliability of equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies, KPIs, and tools. Fully
Performs detailed monthly analysis of plant performance trends, root causes and system performs and advises on areas of improvement to plant management
Analyze and improve the operational procedures to meet the reliability and performance requirements
Gathers performance data and measures the output to determine achievement or variance with the asset dynamics

Contribute to prioritization of reliability features and contribute to the design,development and delivery of effective tooling, alerts and automated responses to the identify and address reliability risks Fully
Establishes, in collaboration with colleagues in the Regional Thermal BU’s, a thorough, detailed, and well documented reliability and performance management strategy. This plan should strive to monitor critical assets' performance as well as dependability. Fully
Independently analyzes and verifies all performance data gathered from the power plants and sets challenging targets and KPIs each year for plant availability and efficiency improvements. Fully
Sets standards relating to staff competence and understanding with respect to internal performance and, against those standards, spreads appropriate learning across all station-based technical staff to raise the awareness of performance in the business. Fully
Engages with the station personnel prior to outage execution to ensure activities are not only focused on and driven by maintenance requirements but also performance features. Fully
Develops amd implements a program of regualr performance testing of the key critical assets at the power stations. Fully
Develops, with assistance from others within the coal Business Unit, a comprehensive, detailed and fully documented maintenance strategy and philosophy. This approach should look to secure performance as well as sustained reliability of the critical assets, leading to sustained power station performance. Fully
Leads and educates the station teams in the tools necessary to secure enhanced overall power plant performance, reliably centered maintenance, productive maintenance, preventative/ corrective and breakdown maintenance approaches. Fully
Holds ownership, governance and maintenance of the computerized work management system- MAXIMO. Ensures the product is aligned to existing business process and that is a wide context its use leads to improves resource management and asset management. Fully
Leads and governs, active and focused conditions based monitoring programs across the power plants, support stations in the development of their returns to facilitate this strategy. Fully
Gathers industry wide data to improve the learning within the Coal Business Unit and implement best industry practice in respect to thermal performance and maintenance of the assets. Fully

 

People Management  
Leads and coaches teams in problem-solving, best practices, and process improvement to achieve organizational objectives. Fully
Develops and/or implements the Regional Department’s approved organizational chart to ensure effective and efficient work flow. Fully
Implements the company’s performance evaluation system as well as its career development program for the Department’s personnel. Fully
Coordinates the development and implementation of Training Programs and other interventions to improve job skills and enhance performance. Supportive

 

Safety, Health, and Environment  
Ensures continuous compliance to environmental criteria to prevent adverse effects to site personnel and the environment. Fully
Leads all personnel in maintaining applicable cleanliness and sanitation standards inside the site. Fully
Implements the site’s emergency response plan during emergencies to ensure safety and security. Fully

 

Others  
Manages the overall Root Cause Analysis process at the stations and reports on progress . Fully
Ensures that department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Fully
Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Asset Management, Energy Management, Business Continuity Management System and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 55001, ISO 50001, and ISO 22301 Standards. Reports Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety events/incidents or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/ committees-in-charge. Supportive
