As a Metering Operation and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electric metering systems. The role ensures accurate energy measurement, system reliability, and compliance with safety and company standards, contributing directly to transforming energy for a better world.

You will work closely with the Distribution Network Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Install, replace, and maintain single-phase and three-phase meters.

  • Conduct testing and calibration of meters, including CT and PT installations.

  • Perform troubleshooting of metering discrepancies and wiring issues.

  • Inspect primary and secondary metering facilities.

  • Prepare technical reports and documentation of field activities.

  • Coordinate with operations, billing, and engineering teams when necessary.

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, PPE, and company policies.

  • Support energization and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Possesses the hands-on skills required to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure efficiently.

  • Maintains an uncompromising commitment to safety protocols, ensuring all tasks are performed with a "zero-harm" mindset for themselves and the community.

  • Ensures all work orders and technical reports are completed with high accuracy and in full compliance with company standards.

  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a safety-oriented mindset.

  • Exhibits good communication and teamwork skills.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or any related field/courses.

  • Preferably with experience in electric utility or metering operations.

  • Professional Driver's License.

  • Willing to work in field assignments.

Technical / Functional Skills:

  • Knowledgeable in CT/PT wiring configuration and meter testing.

  • Ability to learn and master field operations, equipment maintenance, and technical troubleshooting within established timelines.
