Job Description

Responsible for conducting field survey, inspection, and installation for primary and secondary metering set-up and rehabilitation works. The role also involves implementing dispatched work orders and/or emergency metering activities on site in accordance with prescribed AP DU metering standards, occupational safety and health standards, and other regulatory provisions. Additionally, this position is responsible for filling in prescribed meter reports (i.e., MIR, FMR).

Responsibilities

Operations

  • Conduct field survey and inspection of metering rehabilitation related activities.
  • Prepare and create related inspection documents (i.e., Meter Inspection Report) in line with the survey conducted on site.
  • Withdraw CU materials and necessary tools and work equipment (e.g., noise tester, grounding cluster, grip-all clamp stick, etc.) for the safe and accurate implementation of the metering activity.
  • Implement dispatched work orders for primary and secondary metering installation, rehabilitation, and other related authorized activities duly mandated by the MOD O&M Supervisor.
  • Install and/or rehabilitate metering modem upon onset of offline communication status of the meter.
  • Respond to and resolve metering related emergency calls within the prescribed time frame and manner.
  • Fill out Field Meter Report (FMR) document based on details and information upon implementation of the work order.
  • Ensure accurate and complete field meter report details duly signed by the customer and/or representative and attending crew.
  • Make oneself available to attend to matters of exigent nature.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to ISO IMS, AMS, and other implemented management systems.

Planning

  • Plan the efficient use of resources required to implement the tasks assigned to achieve the section's programs and output.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the duties.
  • Coordinate with fellow team members in carrying out assignments.

Ancillary Duties

  • Record and update task monitoring sheets periodically.
  • Participate in promoting 5S in the workplace, not limited to service vehicles and locker rooms.
  • File employee time records, meal subsidies, and other necessary personal profile updates in accordance with the company rules and regulations.
  • Monitor stock of materials needed in department operations and prepare requisition when necessary, and check with Materials Management for the timeliness of the delivery or availability.
  • Act on and support safety initiatives and programs of the company.
  • Stand as back-up to a fellow who is absent or on leave.
  • Readily assume tasks requiring immediate or urgent attention that may be reasonably assigned by the Team Leader.

Administrative

  • Ensure one’s personal goals and development plans are aligned with the organization's objectives and attained in the best means possible.
  • Monitor and recommend requirements on materials and equipment to perform one's role and responsibility.
  • Facilitate necessary administrative tasks for regular company procedures such as, but not limited to, requests for payments, purchase orders, and liquidations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Education: Graduate of any related associate degrees or technical vocational courses.
  • Professional Experience: None required.
  • License or Registration: Not applicable.

Key Knowledge and Capabilities (Proficiency Level 4)

  • Metering Installation and Maintenance:
    • Knowledge in the construction and operation of metering in accordance with industry-accepted and AP DU line standards.
    • Ability to construct, activate, and maintain metering in a safe, reliable, and accurate manner, and to identify and manage associated risks.
  • Specialized Metering Tools and Equipment Operations:
    • Knowledge in different types and usage of metering tools and testing equipment.
    • Ability to operate tools and test equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Metering Testing and Wiring Audit:
    • Knowledge on testing of meters and instrument transformers and troubleshooting errors on metering wiring.
    • Ability to perform metering testing and wiring checks and identify errors.
  • Light Vehicle Operation:
    • Knowledge on the driving and basic maintenance of motorbikes and four-wheel vehicles and related government rules and regulations.
    • Ability to drive motorbike and four-wheeled vehicles and follow traffic rules and regulations.
