Meter and Revenue Protection Engineer
Job Summary
The Meter and Revenue Protection Engineer is responsible for ensuring data accuracy of customer accounts, creating work orders for the installation and maintenance of various power metering setups, meter and instrument transformer testing, wiring and programming and overseeing customer disconnections, in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Create and manage work orders for meter installation, maintenance, and disconnection.
- Conduct meter accuracy testing to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Perform instrument transformer testing to verify the proper functioning of metering equipment.
- Oversee meter disconnection of customers as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies during all activities.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to enhance metering efficiency and revenue protection.
Job Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer.
- Preferably with 1-2 years of professional experience in metering, revenue protection, or a similar role in a distribution utility.
- Strong knowledge of power metering systems, accuracy testing, and instrument transformer testing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for metering is highly preferred.
- Preferably with a professional driver's license (at least A, B and B2)
