Function Name

Mechanical Technician

Mission of Function

The position is responsible for the execution of preventive and major corrective maintenance activities of the main engines in accordance with Company policies, procedures and standards.

The position executes complex preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on main engines and auxiliary equipment, performs diagnostics and troubleshooting, and ensures safe and reliable plant operations. The role leads work execution, provides frontline technical judgment, and supports condition-based monitoring (CBM) and root cause analysis (RCA).

Coordinates with Superior on the daily activities and schedule based on Work Order, prepare tools and equipment 

Performs advanced PMS & CMS on main engines and mechanical auxiliaries

x

Leads work execution and directs contracted  mechanics during maintenance activities

x

Inspects and analyzes reported engine trouble, conducts major CMS as required. Conducts troubleshooting of mechanical abnormalities and provides corrective recommendations

x

Ensures safe execution under PTW/LOTO and compliance with work methods and OEM standards

x

Completes Maximo work orders with accurate documentation of findings and parts used

x

Performs CBM checks and frontline diagnostics (exhaust patterns, vibration/noise, thermal deviations)

x

Provides inputs and evidence for RCA and post-mortem investigations

x

Conducts QA/QC checks on reconditioned mechanical components prior to installation

x

Ensures proper use, custody, and calibration of tools and maintains workshop 5S

x

Others
