As Mechanical Support Engineer , you will be responsible for the preparation and implementation of Work Order for the fabrication & machining of ROR mechanical spares, schedule, estimates, plans and drawings, and reports. Provides inputs and assistance in mechanical design and installations for the organization’s RE plants. Conducts asset condition assessments, inspection and predictive analysis of mechanical components and installations mainly focused but not limited to turbine runner components, bearing system, lubrication system & HPU system. and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Operations and Maintenance to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Prepares schedule and estimates for mechanical design.

Prepares plans and drawings for mechanical design.
-
Conducts mechanical assets inspection, predictive analysis and assessment.

Recommend Corrective and Preventive Maintenance plans for mechanical assets as input to the Life Cycle Management Plan.

Conducts Non-Destructive Testing (PT, MT, UT, Hardness, Vibration Analysis)

Initiates requests for materials needed for the department.

Implements and monitors progress of Work Orders for the fabrication and machining of spares for ROR mechanical components.

Maintain availability and reliability of shop tools, machines, equipment by implementing preventive maintenance programs and calibration plans.

Key performance indicator (KPI);

Risk Management Plan (RMP);

List of Legal and Other Requirements (LLOR);

IMS Documents;

Work Orders Update

Asset Condition Assessment

Costing reports;

Inspects the desired quality of delivered work orders such as turbine parts and other mechanical structures from contractors by checking specified tolerances and allowances.

Assists in mechanical design and installation as needed.

Assists in the analysis of mechanical related concerns and provides action plans and/or corrective actions.

Coordinates with the Mechanical Committee on plans, studies, improvements, implementation and evaluation thereof.

Keeps an updated estimate or pricing of turbine and turbine parts, bearing system, lubrication system & HPU system to be readily available for quotation and budgeting purposes.
OTHER RELATED TASKS

Complies with company policies and procedures, safety rules and practices.

Conforms to the company’s Integrated Management Systems, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.

Reports any Integrated Management System events/incidents or potential events or other risks to the organization.

Adhere to company BCPs as the alternate IMTL.

Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
-
Registered Mechanical Engineer
-
At least two (2) years of related experience
-
Project Experience: One (1) year
-
Basic knowledge and/or operation of fabrication and machine shop equipment, condition monitoring, predictive analysis and assessment of mechanical equipment.
Technical / Functional Skills:

Strong skills in Autocad/Solid Edge software
