1.) The primary responsibility of the Marine and Structural Services Sr. Specialist is collaboration with the Classification Society, Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in line with surveys and inspections of the plants and other marine assets to ensure compliance with the policies and rules of the said regulatory agencies. The position is also responsible in planning and carrying out the maintenance program of the structural, berthing facility and preservation of the marine assets in accordance

2.) Reports to the Maintenance Manager ensuring that the Maritime Industry Authority and Classification Society documents of the plants are up-to-date. Looks after the expiration dates of statutory and regulatory certificates and coordinates with the MARINA and Class on their renewal. This is to see to it that marine assets are statutory and regulatory compliant.

3.) Plans and carries out maintenance programs of the structural integrity of the plant’s hulls, mooring & breasting dolphins, and jetty facilities by conducting regular inspections to ensure structural integrity of the assets.

4.) Plans, projects and initiates, timely procurement of materials needed for CM and PM activities to ensure continuous operations and minimize downtime.

5.) Maintains and updates records of materials inventory in coordination with SCM department to ensure that spare parts inventory is properly monitored and controlled according to the protected needs of the plant.

6.) Plans and conducts annual inspection of hull-integrated tanks of plants and submit technical reportsto the Maintenance Manager for review and dissemination to ensure maintaining internal structural integrity.

7.) Plans and conducts maintenance on work boats, rescue boats, spill booms and other marine equipment in such a way that these mentioned assets are seaworthy. Administration of maintenance histories are kept in order as well.

8.) Composes incident reports, corrective and preventive actions on incidents involving marine assets by maintaining records orderly and readily available when required.

9.) Performs the Company Quality Management System, Integrated Management System, Environmental, Safety and Health programs and 5S activity.
