The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the grid’s efforts towards the efficient implementation of all maintenance activities of the grid which includes civil, mechanical and electrical works.
Supervises the proper implementation of standard maintenance procedures and work instructions of the grid.
Conducts site inspection on structures and equipment condition in order to check for possible abnormalities.
Ensure Permit to work and Task risk analysis are present prior to work execution.
Ensures proper manpower distribution and direction of the maintenance team in the grid to immediately respond to operations calls for maintenance or repairs.
Supervises the inventory of spare parts (Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation & Control Materials) and ensures availability of materials needed for maintenance by checking on the requisitions of maintenance engineers.
Monitors and controls expenses on manpower and maintenance or repair. Checks billing requests and charging of overtime and materials to avoid variances in the budget.
Prepares monthly accomplishment reports on maintenance and repair and submits to immediate superior. Reports abnormalities observed and makes necessary recommendations if possible.
Supervises contracted work in the grid. And ensure quality timeliness and budget for all maintenance work within the grid.
Implements company policies in the grid and ensure that safety measures are complied with at all times.
Ensures that corrective and preventive maintenance are conducted by the Maintenance team by conducting weekly inspection.
Conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Problem Solving and Decision Making (PSDM) and Risk Assessment Management as the need arises.
Ensures compliance to ISO requirements and Implements Hazard Identification, Risk.
Assessment and determination of Controls (ORMP)/Aspect Impact Assessment for mechanical maintenance activities in the grid.
Ensures that Quality INYOvation Projects for Operations and Maintenance are developed, approved, and implemented.
Prepares plans and budget for the rehabilitation work of all plants in the grid and submits these reports to immediate superior for presentation.
Supervises and implements electro-mechanical and Instrumentation and control rehabilitation works and ensures that repairs are done within quality, schedule and approved budget.
Reviews weekly and monthly status report of Maintenance Engineers on rehabilitation works and submits to immediate superior.
Develops realistic team objectives and sustainable success indicators.
Assists in the preparation of the department’s budget.
Ensures that the department conforms to the company’s Integrated Management Systems policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
Ensures that the corresponding processes within the controllable functions are delivering their intended outputs.
Ensures the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
Ensures that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the quality management system are planned and implemented.
Reports any Integrated Management System events/incidents or potential events or other risks to the organization.
Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference by:
a. Storing documents, forms, contracts, manuals, books and other documents to locked storage rooms/steel cabinets.
b. Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all plant records necessary for operations and maintenance.
Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering (ME/EE)
Preferably holds Post Graduate diploma/ Master’s Degree
Licensed Engineer (ME/EE)
Professional: At least three (3) years of related experience in hydro power generation plant; with experience in Mechanical and Electrical Installation Commissioning
Possesses strong leadership capabilities and above average analytical skills
Extensive knowledge on the Philippine Grid Code and Philippine Electrical and Mechanical Code
knowledgeable on project management preferably agile project management.
