Line Specialist
Job Summary
The Line Specialist is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of line construction, maintenance, and emergency response activities within the distribution network. This role ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective electric service by addressing system performance, supporting field operations, and providing technical input to system upgrades and development plans.
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders for maintenance and line construction projects
- Perform thermal and ultrasonic scanning of feeder lines; recommend corrective actions
- Respond to line emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and assist in power restoration
- Prepare regulatory and technical reports such as Voltage Monitoring, CAPEX justification, and outage reports
- Forecast energy and demand per substation/cluster for CAPEX planning and system development
- Support the preparation and updating of Distribution Development Plans and system diagrams
- Provide onsite technical support during emergencies and major works
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Electrical Engineer
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is highly preferred
- Proficient in preparing work orders, design estimates, and construction plans using systems like WAM and Agila.
- Experienced in reading system diagrams and updating Distribution Development Plans
- Experience in distribution utility, line construction, or maintenance work is an advantage
- Preferably with a professional driver's license with restriction codes 1 and 2.
