Job Description

 

The Line Specialist is responsible for meeting and exceeding section targets and metrics by addressing issues and concerns related to line construction and maintenance. The role involves planning resource use for assigned tasks, coordinating with team members, and gathering data for root cause analysis to improve operations. Additionally, the specialist ensures work quality aligns with accepted standards and service level agreements while acting as a safety marshal to promote a secure workplace.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Planning and Coordination: Plans and schedules the efficient use of resources to achieve section programs and outputs. Coordinates with team members and updates task monitoring sheets regularly.
  • Operations and Implementation: Determines focus areas to address drawbacks in goal attainment and oversees the implementation of project prerequisites and negotiations.
  • Quality and Analysis: Gathers data for root cause analysis on operational problems and checks working group outputs against established standards and Service Level Agreements.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Acts as a Safety Marshall to oversee workplace and worker safety, ensuring alignment with organizational safety standards. Monitors stocks for necessary materials and prepares requisitions as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Facilitates administrative tasks such as payment requests, purchase orders, and liquidations. Ensures personal development plans align with organizational objectives.
  • Ancillary Duties: Participates in workplace organization (5S), maintains personal profile records, and provides backup for colleagues when necessary.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate in BS Electrical Engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in line work order design, including surveying, cost estimation, and using system tools for approval routing.
    • Expertise in the entire line work order process, from scheduling and dispatching to billing and closing.
    • Knowledge of line clearing operations and data analysis, including the ability to interpret and communicate data to stakeholders.
    • Understanding of work order quality checks and Service Level Agreement conformity.
  • Safety and Compliance Awareness:
    • Knowledge of occupational health and safety guidelines and applicable laws.
    • Basic awareness of environmental management, solid waste management, and electrical safety in the workplace.
    • Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials.
    • Basic awareness of Asset Management Systems (AMS).
  • Compliance: Ability to ensure adherence to various management systems, including ISO IMS and AMS.
