Legal Specialist
Job Description:
- To monitor and ensure the department's performance and compliance in the areas of property management and due diligence, data privacy, system elements, and Integrated Management System and ISO Standard, all geared towards the satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Specialist is fully responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Conducting due diligence for company property under dispute and prospective properties for acquisition, coordinating with AP-Legal for the final report.
- Monitoring uncovered company claims, sending demand letters, and negotiating amicable settlements.
- Coordinating meetings with various departments (CRSD, RPD, RMD, ORM, Safety/motorpool) and ensuring Legal's tasks are accomplished.
- Drafting simple affidavits and facilitating document notarization.
- Assisting with medical expenses for victims where the company is at fault, ensuring they are cared for and sign quitclaims.
- Acting as the department's monitor for supplies and the filer/keeper of legal documents.
- Readily assuming immediate or urgent tasks assigned by the Team Leader.
- Collaborating with AEV Legal, AEV Enterprise Compliance Team, AP Legal, and AP Regulatory to ensure and monitor company compliance.
- Ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 by performing Compliance Officer for Privacy obligations.
- Assisting with the department’s monitoring of operating units’ government obligations in the Compliance Matrix.
- Ensuring compliance and adherence to ISO IMS Manuals.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: College graduate of any 4-year course.
