Inventory and Warehouse Management Manager
Position Summary
This position is responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating day to day activities relating to the warehousing, inventory management and forecasting, logistics support, safekeeping and distribution of materials and supplies for the cost effective and efficient operation of the company’s power generation facilities and to ensure the attainment of the company’s business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Warehousing and Logistics Management
- Develops policies, processes and procedures and guidelines relating to the Inventory Management and Warehousing, Logistics and internal distribution of materials and supplies, and ensure these are updated and disseminated.
- Ensures standardized implementation of policies and procedures in different locations.
- Implements strategies, plans and projects to meet the goals and objectives of the and logistics teams.
- Leads and executes inventory management, warehousing and logistics and asset disposal recommendation with the team members.
- Ensures that all warehousing, inventory and logistics transactions are in accordance with the policies and set standards and with proper documentation and control to protect the company from financial and business risk.
- Identifies, specifies and evaluates enhancements to warehousing systems and support capability of the application.
- Reviews and evaluates all incoming Purchase Requisitions of materials and supplies and department’s project
- Reviews, monitors and analyzes inventory level and makes improvement recommendations to ensure availability of materials and supplies.
Coordination
- Collaborates with O&M for the critical spares identification and replenishment planning of inventory to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Represents warehousing and logistics in various management meetings with O&M, CSUs, suppliers, management team and with other business units counterparts.
- Coordinates with O&M, SHE, ITS, F&A and Procurement and other teams pertaining to warehousing and logistics concerns that need immediate attention and coming up with proactive and permanent solutions.
- Coordinates with F&A on matters concerning payables such as brokerage fees, bonds, insurances and other logistics fees.
Staff Development
- Coaches, trains and develops direct reports to improve job skills and competencies.
- Establishes performance measures and goals to team members, and conducts actual performance review.
- Identifies and recommends staff development and training programs and requirements.
- Develops a succession planning that will produce key talents ready to handle higher responsibility.
Administrative
- Develops and produces reports or information for management decision making.
- Reviews and approves documents related to the team.
- Monitors and management budget and expenses of the team.
- Attends technical and administrative meetings regularly to coordinate with different team leaders.
Others
- Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Asset Management, Energy Management, Business Continuity Management System and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 55001, ISO 50001, and ISO 22301 Standards.
- Reports Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety events/incidents or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/ committees-in-charge.
- Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference in accordance with ISMS policies
- Maintains availability, confidentiality, and integrity of documents
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the TL.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or other relevant courses
- Licenses/Certifications: Preferably Registered Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
- Professional: At least 5 years experience of progressively more responsible professional experience in the field of Supply Chain Management and Warehousing for either the power generating industry or heavy industrial facilities
- Leadership: At least 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Project: At least 2 years relevant project experience
- Must be willing to report onsite at Pagbilao, Quezon Province
