As an Instrument Rated Metering Asset Technician, you will be responsible for conducting field survey and inspection for primary and secondary metering installation and rehabilitation works, as well as in implementing dispatched work orders and/or emergency metering activities on site in accordance with prescribed AP DU metering standards, occupational safety and health standards and other regulatory provisions. You shall also be responsible in filling in prescribed meter reports (i.e. MIRF, FMR). You will work closely with the Metering Operation team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Conducting field survey and inspection of metering rehabilitation related activities.

• Preparing and creating related inspection documents (i.e. Meter Installation Registration Form) in line with the survey conducted on site.

• Withdrawing CU materials and necessary tools and work equipment (e.g. noise tester, grounding cluster, grip-all clamp stick, etc.) in the safe and accurate implementation of the metering activity.

• Implementing dispatched work orders for primary and secondary metering installation, rehabilitation and other related authorized activities duly mandated by the MOD Operation & Maintenance Supervisor. 

• Installing and/or rehabilitating metering modem upon onset of offline communication status of the meter 

• Responding to and resolving metering related emergency calls within the prescribed time frame and manner 

• Filling out Field Meter Report (FMR) document based on details and information upon implementation of the work order 

• Ensuring accurate and complete field meter report details duly signed by the customer and/or representative and attending crew. 

• Making oneself available to attend to matters of exigent nature.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree Holder or must have completed a Vocational course in a related field

• RME

• Has a professional driver’s license

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Ability to accurately withdraw and utilize materials and specialized work equipment.

• Proficiency in creating and filing accurate field meter reports and securing necessary signatures from customers and attending crews.
