IT System Administrator
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION & PLATFORM MANAGEMENT
-Administers physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure platforms
-Plans and distributes workload (tickets, planned maintenance, site support) to ensure timely and consistent delivery
-Tracks team performance, quality of resolution, and adherence to standards and procedures
-Coaches and develops staff capability through mentoring, guided troubleshooting, and process discipline
-Serves as first escalation point for site-impacting incidents and recurring operational issues
IT SERVICE DELIVERY & SUPPORT MANAGEMENT
-Ensures incidents and service requests are logged, categorized, and resolved within agreed timelines and priorities
-Oversees execution of frontline support activities including endpoint troubleshooting, user support, and onsite coordination.
-Coordinates with NOCC, plant operations, and OT teams when IT systems affect operational visibility or performance.
-Ensures consistent use of ticketing, documentation, and escalation processes across all regions
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION & PLATFORM OPERATIONS
-Oversees administration of core platforms (servers, virtualization, cloud workloads, storage, backup) and verifies proper execution by System Administrators
-Ensures patching, OS updates, security hardening, and maintenance activities are executed and tracked.
-Reviews system health indicators (monitoring alerts, logs, utilization) and drives proactive remediation.
-Ensures backup jobs, restore testing, and data protection routines are executed and validated.
-Supports standardization of configurations and ensures baseline compliance across sites
INCIDENT ESCALATION, RCA & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
-Leads or coordinates major incident handling, ensuring timely containment, restoration, and stakeholder updates.
-Conducts root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and ensures corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
-Identifies improvement opportunities (automation, standardization, tooling, monitoring enhancements) to reduce recurring incidents.
-Works with other supervisors (Network, Security, Solutions) to resolve cross-domain issues and prevent repeat failures.
GOVERNANCE, RISK & CONTINUITY
-Enforces change control, configuration documentation, and asset tracking practices within the team
-Ensures system documentation (procedures, inventories, recovery steps) is accurate and maintained
-Supports disaster recovery readiness activities including backup validation and recovery exercises
-Supports audit requirements and compliance deliverables related to IT operations and infrastructure controls
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-5–8 years experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or system administration
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
