As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive day-to-day HR support to plant employees, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across employee lifecycle management, employee relations, recruitment support, compensation and benefits, learning and development, engagement, and HR administration. The role serves as a key HR contact for employees and line supervisors, ensuring that HR policies, programs, and processes are consistently implemented in accordance with company policies, Philippine labor laws, and the operational requirements of a 24/7 power generation facility, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with various teams to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

 

1. Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)

  • Understand and adhere to local and corporate SHE policies.

  • Ensure HR programs support SHE objectives through training, awareness campaigns, and safety performance recognition.

  • Promote a strong SHE culture and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Support consequence management for non-compliance with safety policies.

 

2. Plant HR Support

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to plant employees across operations, maintenance, engineering, technical services, and support functions in a 24/7 power plant environment.

  • Understand unique operational workforce needs (shift work, outages, emergency response, contractors, and critical manpower).

  • Support HR requirements during major plant outages, shutdowns, commissioning activities, and critical operational periods.

 

3. Compliance

  • Implement HR policies in accordance with Philippine labor laws and company standards.

  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of employee information.

  • Support labor, government, audit, and compliance requirements.

  • Assist in preparing documentation for DOLE-related and other regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of employee records.

 

4. Workforce & HR Administration

  • Support manpower planning and monitor plant headcount and vacancies.

  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and workforce-related data.

  • Ensure HR documentation complies with company standards and Philippine regulations.

 

5. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition regarding manpower requirements and recruitment activities.

  • Co-facilitate pre-employment requirements and onboarding activities for new hires.

  • Conduct HR orientation to cover company policies, benefits, and workplace expectations.

 

6. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Process employee movements (transfers, promotions, regularization, employment status changes, separations).

  • Prepare and issue Notice of Personnel Action (NPA) to record employee movements.

  • Maintain accurate, updated personnel records and HR databases.

  • Coordinate employee clearance and exit processes.

  • Support re-onboarding and other lifecycle initiatives.

 

7. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the frontline HR contact for employee concerns, requests, and workplace issues.

  • Provide policy and procedural guidance to employees and supervisors.

  • Assist in handling employee grievances, disciplinary cases, investigations, and documentation.

  • Support engagement activities, town halls, recognition programs, and internal communications.

  • Monitor employee concerns to identify recurring issues that require management intervention.

  • Oversee Culture Activation Programs aligned with organizational values and desired behaviors.

  • Analyze engagement survey results and translate them into actionable plans.

  • Implement engagement initiatives (employee listening, team-building, sports/wellness, family activities, recognition, culture-building).

 

8. Compensation & Benefits

  • Assist with payroll-related concerns, allowances, overtime, leave, and compensation matters.

  • Coordinate administration of employee benefits (HMO, GPA/GLI, leave, and company programs).

  • Liaise with external providers and internal stakeholders to resolve benefit concerns.

  • Ensure timely submission and processing of HR transactions.

 

9. Learning & Development

  • Coordinate training programs and learning activities for plant employees.

  • Monitor attendance, completion rates, training hours, and required certifications.

  • Maintain training records and assist in identifying development needs.

 

10. Other Functions

  • Participate in approved Volunteer Programs to build relationships with host community residents and LGU officials.

  • Actively participate in Employee & Family Welfare Programs and Labor Management Cooperation Activities.

  • Perform other related HR tasks in partnership with business teams and Joint Venture activities. 

 

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in BS Psychology, Behavioral Science, Industrial Engineering, or any related course. 
  • Professional Experience: At least 3–5 years of HR experience.
  • Industry Preference: Manufacturing, energy, utilities, mining, industrial, or large-scale operational environments.
  • Core HR Expertise: Hands-on experience in employee relations, HR operations, recruitment, basic compensation & benefits administration, and employee engagement.
  • Operational Background:
    • Experience supporting a 24/7 industrial or power generation operation.

    • Experience dealing with technical and field-based employees.
    • Experience working during plant outages or major projects.

  • Certifications & Licenses: CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) is preferred.
