The position holder is responsible for providing geotechnical engineering and geophysical analysis and documentation on assigned projects of ARI to achieve the objective of developing and executing technically, financially, and commercially viable renewable energy projects.


Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

  • Performs geotechnical and geological site assessment/ investigation to evaluate surface and subsurface conditions, including soil/rock properties, groundwater levels, geological structures and geohazards.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses and calculations on slope stability and tunnel stress to ensure safe and efficient project design.
  • Utilizing geophysical techniques (e.g., electrical resistivity, seismic refraction, ground penetrating radar) to collect field data and process it for interpretation.
  • Analyzes and interprets geophysical and geotechnical data to determine design parameters and integrate results into foundation design, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
  • Completes geotechnical, geologic, and geophysical reports
  • Prepares geological, geophysical, and geotechnical plans to guide project execution and resource allocation.
  • Identifies and manages internal and external Project resources required for geotechnical and geophysical activities, including building up development & site management teams.
  • Ensure timely completion of geotechnical and geophysical investigation deliverables for Project development & Construction.
  • Review and evaluate geotechnical and geophysical investigation proposals from external service providers to ensure proper scoping of services, terms of references compliance, availability of manpower, and pricing.
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, environmental, and social policies and guidelines established by Aboitiz Renewables Inc.
  • Ensures all geotechnical and geophysical equipment are regularly maintained, checked, and calibrated to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Exercises due diligence and administrative responsibility in establishing and maintaining systems that sustain essential operational functions, such as completing compliance requirements, updating documents and protocols, and other such organizational tasks for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mining Engineering.

  • Must be a Licensed Engineer or Geologist.

  • With at least 1–2 years of relevant work experience.

  • At least 1 year of project experience.

  • Preferably a Geophysicist or with Geologist specialization.

  • 1 vacant position available in Makati City
