As a Geographical Information Data Cleanup Project Staff, you will be responsible for correcting, standardizing, and optimizing medium and low voltage subnetwork data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and industry standards, while supporting improved network tracing, analysis, and efficient operations in planning, maintenance, outage management, and customer service. You will work closely with the GIS team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conducting a comprehensive audit of GIS data gathered from field surveyors against existing medium and low voltage subnetwork records to identify discrepancies, errors, and areas requiring updates.

  • Tracing the actual path of the medium and low voltage distribution network from source (e.g., load center) to endpoints (e.g., customer connections) to verify physical-to-digital alignment.

  • Verifying that all network components, including transformers, poles, and secondary wires, are accurately mapped and properly connected within the GIS.

  • Identifying and documenting instances where GIS representations do not reflect the actual physical network configuration.

  • Performing necessary corrections by updating network connectivity, attributes, and subnetwork configurations to ensure the GIS reflects the current and accurate state of the physical system.

  • Organizing and consolidating surveyor-captured images into structured folders based on pole numbers or load center identifiers for proper documentation and reference.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

 

  • Senior High School graduate or completed a 2 year vocational course

 

Technical / Functional Skills:

  • Familiar with basic Google online tools such as Google Sheets, Google Maps, and Google Drive, including tasks like data updating and file uploading

  • Basic understanding of data management and data quality control

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for data review

  • Knowledge of file organization and documentation practices

  • Ability to follow technical guidelines and standard procedures

  • Basic troubleshooting skills
