Generation Forecasting and Planning Senior Supervisor

As Generation Forecasting and Planning Senior Supervisor, you will be the central authority managing the precision forecasting of generation across all renewable energy technologies and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Performance and Data Solutions to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Generation Forecasting and Modeling
Creates and oversees short- and long-term generation and key performance indicator (KPI) forecasts and models in relation to current assumptions and status of resources across all RE Techs, future power plant and steam field plans, activities, and initiatives.
Presents, justifies, and coordinates the final approval of generation forecasts and operational plans with the respective Renewable Technology General Managers.
Coordinates actively with GEO Steam Suppliers, ROR Hydrologists, and Solar/Wind resource sources to factor in the resource forecast relative to all RE Techs.
Coordinates with 1RE O&M for the 5-year Outage Plans, leading the optimization and rigorous sense-checking of these plans to maximize generation availability and validate their feasibility of execution for the business year.
Power Plant Performance Improvement and Optimization
Directs the development of statistical trend analyses of 1RE resource data and plant operational parameters to identify variances critical to plant efficiency across all technologies.
Monitors and evaluates plant KPIs in support of creating operational strategies to achieve business objectives and targets.
Fuel and Resource Management
Monitors, optimizes, and conducts strict sense-checking of fuel or resource input metrics (steam, irradiance, rainwater) against historical and expected baselines to ensure optimal energy conversion and plant efficiency.
Identify and implement strategies to minimize resource wastage, improve thermal efficiency, and ensure sustainable resource utilization.
Performance and Data Solutions Collaboration
Collaborates with the Data Analytics team to develop, refine, and validate performance models for various renewable technologies (e.g., solar irradiance vs. output, wind speed vs. turbine efficiency).
Works jointly on developing predictive maintenance algorithms and performance forecasting models using different available softwares and technologies.
Supports the integration of real-time dashboards and custom analytics tools that enhance visibility into plant performance and streamline decision-making.
Process Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
Guides and aligns cross-functional teams and performance engineers in technical problem solving, initiative design, and process improvements across forecasting workflows.
Leads regular performance reviews and strategy sessions with key stakeholders (including General Managers) to align on issues, actions, and achievements regarding generation forecasts.
Other Related Tasks
Complies with company policies and procedures, safety rules and practices to ensure adherence to such.
Ensures conformance to the company’s Integrated Management Systems, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
Ensures that the integrity and quality of reports whether intended for internal or external consumption is maintained.
Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:
Strong process leadership and above average analytical skills.
Technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.
Extensive knowledge on the resource management of multiple renewable energy technologies.

What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
5 years of experience in Renewable Energy
Leadership: Two (2) years of process leadership or managing complex cross-functional initiatives (does not require formal direct reports).
Project: Preferably with experience in resource forecasting technologies across multiple plant types.

Technical / Functional Skills:
Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace and Applications / Computer programming.
Strong skills in forecasting processes, models, and cross-functional outputs.
