Job Summary

 

The GIS Project Staff is responsible for auditing, verifying, and correcting low-voltage (LV) subnetworks within our Geographic Information System (GIS). Using ArcFM Editor XI, the role involves analyzing field-collected data, tracing actual LV network layouts, and ensuring all components, such as transformers, poles, and secondary wires, are accurately mapped. This position oversees the integrity and reliability of our utility network data and improves operational efficiency.

 

  • Audit and analyze LV subnetwork data gathered by surveyors.
  • Trace actual LV network connections from source to endpoint.
  • Verify and correct GIS representations of transformers, poles, and secondary wires.
  • Update connectivity, attribute data, and subnetwork configurations in GIS.
  • Organize field images into structured folders by pole or load center number.
  • Perform other duties related to GIS data improvement as assigned.

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience in a similar role in a distribution utility or related field.
  • Preferably with knowledge and technical skills with the following: ArcFM Editor XI and GIS platforms, LV electrical distribution systems, network data auditing, and field data validation.
  • Preferably with a professional driver's license (at least A, B, and B2)
