Finance Accounting and Reporting Supervisor
Role Summary:
The Financial Accounting and Reporting Supervisor is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. (Parent), holding companies (Holdcos), special purpose vehicles (SPVs), and startups or small operating companies. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, manages day-to-day accounting operations, and supervises accounting staff in delivering high-quality outputs.
This position also assumes responsibility for financial consolidation reporting in the absence of the primary lead, ensuring continuity and completeness of group requirements.
Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting and Reporting

Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (including audited FS) for Parent, Holdcos, and SPVs.

Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reports in compliance with PFRS and applicable regulations.

Ensures timely preparation of comprehensive lead schedules for ARI Parent to support financial statement balances, reconcile intercompany accounts, and ensure audit readiness.

Reviews journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for accounts and subsidiary ledgers.

Coordinates with AEV/AP Finance teams for group reporting and consolidation requirements.

Supports annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Assumes responsibility for financial consolidation activities (e.g., preparation of consolidation packages, reconciliations, and variance analysis) in the absence of the primary lead.
Regulatory Compliance and Taxation

Ensures timely preparation of reports and financial data necessary for the accurate filing of tax returns and regulatory reports (BIR, SEC, LGUs, etc.).

Monitors updates in accounting and regulatory standards and ensures compliance.

Coordinates with auditors, regulators, and government agencies on reporting and compliance requirements.
Cash Management and Collections

Reviews and analyzes periodic bank reconciliations.

Monitors collections and highlights significant past due accounts to the Controller.

Ensure timely preparation and execution of intercompany billings and accruals.
Data Analysis

Conducts thorough analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness, resolving any discrepancies encountered.

Ensures that financial statement line items correspond with relevant schedules and disclosures

Identifies trends, variances, and irregularities within financial data, making necessary recommendations and providing explanations for significant fluctuations or anomalies.
Compliance with Accounting Standards and Regulations

Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations, particularly regarding specific disclosure requirements in the notes to financial statements and SEC supplementary schedules.
Intergroup Collaboration

Collaborates with various departments across the Group, such as Accounting Operations, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and BU SPOCs, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Audit Support

Supervises and oversees external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to the consolidation process.

Liaises auditors for any documentary and audit requirements
Implementing and Maintaining Financial Systems

Provides strong support in implementing and maintaining financial consolidation and publishing systems, including metadata updates, account and segment mapping, and consolidation rule updates.

Develops and implements financial policies and procedures related to consolidation and provides training and support to other finance team members on consolidation processes and procedures.
Accounting Standards Champion

Ensures Renewables group compliance with accounting standards, organizes training/workshops to disseminate knowledge, templates, and guidelines.

Aligns the group with the accounting policies of the Parent company, manages the championing of selected standards across the group (e.g., Leases, Pension, Service Concession, Hedge, etc.).
Perform ad-hoc tasks and special projects assigned by management or the accounting team to support broader team objectives.

Minimum Qualification |
Professional: 4 years in Financial Accounting, at least 2 years doing Consolidated financial reporting in a large publicly-listed entity. Leadership Experience Accounting graduate |
