As Engine Room Operator, you will ensure the efficient and effective operation of all diesel engines and auxiliary machineries in accordance with standard operating parameters and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Operations Supervisor, Control Room Engineer, Maintenance Department, Supply Chain Management, and Service Contractors to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Prepare, check, start up, monitor, and shut down diesel engines and auxiliary equipment in continuous coordination with the Control Room Engineer and in accordance with work instructions.

Conduct routine inspections, adjustments, minor corrections, and top-ups per OEM manuals, stopping engines for safety/emergency purposes when required and implementing Permits to Work (PTW).

Perform or coordinate laboratory testing of engine lube oil, process water, sludge, and fuel properties, encoding test results, tracking trends for corrective actions, and maintaining lab instruments.

Execute shift turnover activities, report plant abnormalities, participate in emergency response and firefighting plans, and support company initiatives and ISO management systems.

Maintains high vigilance and safety focus during routine inspections, emergency responses, and implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) policies.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in monitoring engine parameters, evaluating laboratory test results, and tracking equipment performance trends.

Possesses effective communication and collaborative skills to ensure clear shift handovers and smooth coordination across operational and maintenance teams.

Shows initiative, adaptability, and continuous commitment to organizational quality, health, safety, environmental, and security standards.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
-
Relevant 1–2 years of experience in O&M in a related industry is an advantage

Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
Technical / Functional Skills: Proficiency in diesel engine and auxiliary machinery operations, SCADA systems, Permit to Work (PTW) execution, and laboratory fluid testing/instrumentation Strong skills in Safe Work Systems, Plant Operations Management, Risk Assessment and Control, Plant Performance Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
