As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the efforts towards the efficient implementation of maintenance activities and ensuring the efficiency of all of the electrical components of the grid and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with O&M to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
EQUIPMENT INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

Implements the Electrical Maintenance Program to ensure efficient, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operation.

Conducts Predictive and Preventive Maintenance activities, including inspections, testing, and monitoring of electrical systems and substation equipment.

Oversees Condition Monitoring and performance tracking of electrical assets to detect abnormalities or deviations early.
-
Supervises plant electricians during inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, ensuring work quality and safety compliance.

Performs and supports Protection Relay Troubleshooting and testing activities during maintenance or unplanned outages to maintain system reliability.

Supports maintenance and inspection of hydro facilities and associated civil structures to ensure the integrity and safe operation of electrical components.

Monitors vegetation management activities (transmission line clearing) to prevent system faults or line disturbances.
-
Ensures implementation of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures during all maintenance and testing activities.

Participates in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implements corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence of electrical system issues.
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND DOCUMENTATION

Reviews and interprets technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment manuals to plan and supervise maintenance and repair activities.

Conducts Data Analytics for Failure Detection and performance trend analysis to identify potential failures and propose improvement measures.

Prepares and submits monthly accomplishment and condition monitoring reports on electrical maintenance activities.

Documents maintenance histories, failure incidents, and corrective actions to support Asset Management and Life Cycle Planning.

Ensures proper Work Order Execution and Closure by reviewing and validating job completion records within the CMMS.
-
Prepares technical studies and supports innovation projects to improve electrical system efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
INSTALLATION AND REHABILITATION

Assists and supervises the rehabilitation, installation, and replacement of electrical equipment and components to ensure proper configuration and functionality.

Identifies, recommends, and prepares budget estimates for annual electrical maintenance and rehabilitation requirements.
-
Ensures all installation and rehabilitation works comply with technical specifications, safety management standards, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinates with Operations and other teams during planned shutdowns and outage planning to optimize maintenance execution and minimize downtime.

Implements Preventive Maintenance Execution (Project Management) strategies to ensure that rehabilitation and upgrade projects are completed within the approved timeline and budget.
MATERIALS AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Manages inventory of electrical spare parts and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels to support ongoing and emergency maintenance requirements.

Leads Critical Spares Identification and Optimization to minimize downtime and support reliability-centered maintenance.

Coordinates procurement and utilization of tools, instruments, and test equipment required for electrical maintenance.

Monitors and controls maintenance-related expenses, manpower allocation, and material utilization to support operational efficiency.
-
Supports Asset Management initiatives by maintaining up-to-date data on equipment condition, spares usage, and replacement schedules.
COORDINATION AND COMPLIANCE

Plans and coordinates all electrical maintenance activities, ensuring proper Work Order Planning and Scheduling in coordination with Operations and Maintenance teams.

Conducts toolbox meetings with plant electricians to discuss maintenance plans, safety procedures, and equipment abnormalities.
-
Implements Safety Management and ensures strict adherence to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) compliance, isolation procedures, and safe work practices.

Conducts Problem Solving and Decision Making (PSDM) and Risk Assessment Management as needed
-
Leads Problem Solving and Decision Making (PSDM) sessions and risk assessments to address recurring equipment issues.

Responds to ISO requirements and ensures implementation of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and determination of Controls (ORMP).

Monitors and evaluates Operations and Maintenance KPIs, ensuring alignment with performance, safety, and reliability goals.
-
Coordinates Outage Planning and Optimization to balance maintenance schedules with generation requirements and resource availability.
-
Provides technical supervision during Work Order Execution and Closure, ensuring completion within defined scope, quality, and safety standards.
-
Promotes continuous improvement initiatives in predictive maintenance, safety, and cost efficiency of electrical operations.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
-
Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer
-
At least two (2) years of related experience in electrical facilities in an industrial setting; preferably in Hydro Power industry, transmission line and substation maintenance
-
With knowledge in the Philippine Grid Code and Philippine Electrical and Mechanical Code
-
Preferably a registered Master Electrician
