Compliance Specialist

Summary:

• Provides physical, strategic, and technical support to the Thermal Business Unit in securing and maintaining permits and licenses, as well as in filings and submissions of reports to different government agencies and local government units having jurisdiction over the concerned Thermal Business Unit site.
• The position supports the Compliance Supervisor/Manager in contract and case management.
• The position acts as the primary POC between the BU and the CSUs vis-a-vis commercial contract management from preparation to execution (AS, BCQ, PSA, ESA).
• The position handles and strategically resolves compliance and legal issues escalated/raised by other Thermal Business Unit departments and CSUs, subject to the Compliance Supervisor/Manager’s clearance.
• The position provides support to the Compliance Supervisor/Manager in crafting roll out plans for the Business Unit with respect to new/changing laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. More than 2 years of experience in legal and/or compliance-related work, preferably in the power industry.

2. Project experience preferred, but not required.

3. Education: College graduate; law degree or engineering degree preferred.
