The Civil Support Services Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and oversight for the civil aspects of existing renewable energy plants, including ROR, wind farms, solar farms. CSS Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of civil infrastructure within a power plant by ensuring that all civil projects are planned and executed efficiently and effectively. This involves developing plan and designs, project management, technical guidance, developing project specifications, quality control, survey activities, and geotechnical/geological analysis.
CSS Engineer also will be involved in the growth direction of the organization such as brownfield and greenfield projects.
The CSS engineer will be working closely with OMD personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required scope/quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities for civil components/infrastructure including but not limited to buildings, foundations, weir, desander, conveyance/tunnels, penstock. Roads, drainages, and other related component/peripherals.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and risks, and develop solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborating with OMD team to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs that ensure efficient and reliable operation of the plant's civil infrastructure.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs
- Monitor execution/construction activities to ensure they are carried out according to the approved plans and specifications.
- Manage contractor performance and provide technical guidance and support to ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities and communicate to stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining relationships with contracts/suppliers to ensure timely delivery of projects and materials.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to other support teams.
- Developing and implementing new technologies and best practices to improve the efficiency and reliability of the power plant's civil infrastructure.
- Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is completed within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct of field data gathering, asset condition, risk assessments.
- Design, schedule creation, estimation, calculation, scope preparation and drafting/drawing of plans of proposed repair and maintenance of existing RE plant.
- Assist in the preparation of studies of proposed brown/greenfield projects.
- Conducts post inspection to assess damages due to typhoons and natural calamities.
- Carry-out As-built measurements and prepares As-built plans / drawings (including details) of the different structures and appurtenances of existing RE Power Plants
- Conducts Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and prepare ORMP, PRMP and TRA accordingly.
- Coordinates with various stakeholders to obtain desired objective/output.
- Risk Assessment: They assess the risks associated with geological factors such as slope stability, earthquake potential, and flooding, and develop plans to mitigate these risks.
- Geotechnical Investigations: Conduct geotechnical investigations to analyze soil and rock characteristics to determine the foundation requirements for system structures and the stability of the site using hardware and software tools such as, but not limited to, Lidar, ERT, Geo5, RTK/surveying equipment, drone, ARC GIS

Storing documents, forms, contracts, manuals, books and other documents to locked storage rooms/steel cabinets.

Creating contracts with information security clauses in conformance to Information Management Systems Policies and Guidelines.

Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of project cost estimates, feasibility studies, design drawings, design reports and calculations, and all other related documents.
5. Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Must be a graduate of BS Civil Engineering or related field
- License: Preferably a Licensed Civil Engineer or equivalent
- Experience (No. of Years): Preferably with related experience on renewable energy plant
