As Chemist, you will ensure geothermal steam purity, cooling water quality, and the reliable implementation of water treatment programs and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Production team, APRI Departments, and external partners like the Philippine Geothermal Production Company (PGPC) and contractors to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Monitor geothermal steam purity for all generating units to protect turbines and auxiliaries from corrosion, scaling, and clogging.

Monitor recirculating cooling water parameters to prevent fouling and equipment corrosion, ensuring compliance with GRSSA provisions.
-
Coordinate with steam and chemical suppliers for cooling water treatment programs, chemical deliveries, quality checks, and inventory management.
-
Prepare, review, analyze, and evaluate laboratory results, maintaining physical and electronic technical reports for binary plant brine parameter monitoring and plant operations.

Ensure proper storage and disposal of laboratory wastes in alignment with safety, environmental, health, and good housekeeping standards.

What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or BS Chemical Engineering.

Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant experience in chemical laboratory operation and maintenance.

License Required: Registered Chemist
Technical / Functional Skills:
-
Proficiency in chemical laboratory operation, maintenance, and testing methods.

Computer skills for analyzing, maintaining, and archiving electronic technical reports.

Knowledge of chemical safety, environmental, health, and waste disposal standards.
