The Chemical Process Analyst is part of the Chemical Process Section within the Operations Department and is responsible for analyzing samples from the water and steam cycles, water treatment plants, wastewater, and other samples such as fuel oil and coal. This position reports directly to the Chemical Process Supervisor.
The position shall conduct daily analyses and monitor processes, including water and steam chemistry, as well as operations at the water and wastewater treatment plants and other auxiliary systems. The position shall be responsible for ensuring that all plant analysis results and process monitoring logs are timely, well-documented, and reported to the Chemical Process Supervisor and relevant departments.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Perform standard test procedures, sampling, sample handling, and laboratory analysis for water, wastewater, coal, ash, and oil parameters while maintaining quality control criteria and proper sample coding.

Ensure process parameters remain within acceptable specifications, providing necessary operational recommendations, corrective actions, and adjustments based on test results.

Execute scheduled maintenance, calibration, calibration checks, and record updates for all laboratory equipment and online analyzers under the Chemical Services Section.

Maintain laboratory environmental conditions, good housekeeping, non-chemical inventory levels, and create Purchase Requisitions for Chemical Services-related items while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

Minimum 3 years of experience in the Power Industry

Chemical Technician License
Technical / Functional Skills:
Proficiency in power plant chemistry, standard laboratory testing techniques and equipment, online analyzers, sample preparation/handling, risk assessment, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
