Business Development Proposals Lead
Job Location: Willing to work either in Cebu, Davao, or Makati
Job Mission: Responsible for originating, developing, and managing proposals and transactions involving Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), unsolicited proposals, concession agreements and joint ventures within the electric distribution sector in the Philippines. The role includes preparing qualification documents, feasibility studies, financial models, and ensuring the timely submission of proposals to the PPP Center, NEA, government agencies, investors, and potential partners. The Manager will play a key role in identifying business opportunities, structuring proposals, and supporting negotiations that align with the company’s strategic objectives in power distribution and energy sector development.
Job Responsibilities
- Project Development
- Lead the preparation and submission of PPP and unsolicited proposal documents in compliance with PPP Center, Electric Cooperatives, Distribution Utilities and/or government requirements.
- Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and project qualification documents, including financial, legal, technical, and environmental aspects.
- Coordinate with internal teams (finance, technical, legal, regulatory) and external consultants for inputs to proposals.
- Prepare valuation analyses, business models, and investment proposals for prospective acquisitions or partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with submission timelines, documentation standards, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Business Development
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and market share goals.
- Conduct market research and due diligence to identify potential M&A opportunities in the electric distribution sector.
- Monitor regulatory and policy developments in the energy and infrastructure sectors and assess their impact on business opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies (PPP Center, DOE, NEA, LGUs), private sector partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support strategic negotiations and partnership structuring for joint ventures, concessions, or acquisitions.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or any power industry related course
- Master's degree in Business Administration is an advantage
- At least 10 years’ experience in the distribution sector or similar industry.
- Leadership: At least 2 years experience
- Project: At least 1 year experience
