Business Analyst
Location: Cebu City, Philippines
Business Unit: Aboitiz Power Corporation
Power your future with AboitizPower.
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong Change Management (CM) background to bridge the gap between technical software configuration and user adoption. You will not just manage communications; you will dive deep into engineering workflows, map out process architectures (Current vs. To-Be), justify tool value, and guide our planners, estimators, and engineers through a seamless transition. A unique challenge of this role involves balancing the modernization of legacy system users (Agila/WAM) alongside the digital upskilling of the 4EZ manual users.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Process Architecture & Gap Analysis: Map end-to-end "As-Is" and "To-Be" operational swimlanes (Application → DXI Spatial Design →CU Costing → Construction → As-Built Closeout). Identify operational variations (deltas) across DLPC, CLPC, and SEZ, while paying special attention to the leap from manual/paper-based processes in Malvar, Balamban, Mactan, and LIMA.
- Value Translation (WIIFM): Translate technical DXI/WACS software features into tangible operational benefits (What's In It For Me) for specific roles. Build feature matrices that clearly explain how the new tools eliminate legacy pain points (e.g., Agila latency, manual BOMs, CAD rework, paper tracking).
- Onboarding & Scaling Playbook (5-Stage Adoption Framework): Design and execute a comprehensive 5-stage framework tailored to the specific needs of both the legacy-transitioning DUs and the manual-transitioning 4EZs. This framework includes:
- Baseline Audit & Readiness: Assessing hardware, network bandwidth, and current workflow maturity.
- Process Localization: Ensuring local engineering standards (CUs/Makro CUs) are accurately mapped into the new system.
- Champion Activation: Identifying and upskilling local "Change Champions" to drive peer-to-peer adoption.
- Pilot Sprints: Executing live design projects under heavy guidance to build user confidence before full launch.
- Full Cutover: Officially decommissioning legacy CAD/WAM tools and manual estimating spreadsheets.
- Training & Capability Building: Collaborate with technical implementors to develop role-based training modules, quick-reference guides, and job aids. Ensure special focus on foundational digital literacy for the 4EZ teams transitioning from manual methods.
- Adoption Governance & Hypercare: Define cutover policies for active, in-flight work orders. Establish KPI dashboards to track actual DXI usage, data quality, and efficiency. Provide active floorwalking/virtual support during the 60-day post-go-live hypercare period.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience acting as a Business Analyst, Process Engineer, or Technical Change Manager on large-scale software implementations (ERP, GIS, or EAM preferred).
- Technical BA Skills: Strong proficiency in process mapping (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart) and workflow optimization. Ability to understand complex technical workflows and translate them to business users with varying levels of technical maturity.
- Change Management Frameworks: Practical experience utilizing recognized CM methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) applied to technical/process changes, not just organizational shifts. Experience driving digital transformation from manual/paper-based systems is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior engineering leaders and coaching on-the-floor design technicians.
- Willing to work as project-based.
