Assistant Vice President for Business Process and Quality Management
The Assistant Vice President for Business Process and Quality Management leads AboitizPower’s enterprise process improvement and quality management agenda. The role is responsible for establishing and advancing a structured continuous improvement culture across AboitizPower’s business units, embedding recognized process improvement methodologies into how the organization designs, evaluates, and optimizes its processes. Beyond process documentation and standardization, the role drives measurable performance outcomes through disciplined quality assurance, process maturity development, operational risk management and cross-functional improvement programs, ensuring that AboitizPower’s operating model is efficient, scalable, and aligned to strategic goals. This role also fosters a proactive compliance mindset through effective governance structures, compliance monitoring and process controls.
Responsibilities:

Participates in AboitizPower’s (AP) Organizational Development Process, captures process linkages across AboitizPower and Aboitiz Group counterparts where group-wide initiatives require coordination, derived from strategic planning, risk management processes and process audits in identifying process developments leading to innovation opportunities.

Ensures standardization of all business process development standards and tools across AboitizPower. Likewise performs benchmarking to ensure that AP’s business processes are in reference to global standards and best-in-class practice and defines/recommends enterprise KPIs for process performance.

Ensures updated business process and scope is capable of supporting other business goals such as: business re-engineering, regulatory compliance, risk compliance, service level agreement (SLA) role clarity (RACI), simulation and internal audit and embeds governance controls for process changes.

Spots and evaluates inefficiencies and recommends process improvements to better business operations and systems functionality.

Develops architecture, reviews integration capability, changes in SoD matrices and impact to org and validates alignment to business architecture and operating model requirements.

Works with functional TLs and process/control owners in identifying functional specifications for systems development.

Establishes and maintains ICS compliance and sustainability and ensures audit-ready documentation and controls.

Serves as reference and information source by providing guidance and assistance for implementation and decision-making.

Implements process changes together with the functional TL and co-leads in the change management process.

Reviews AP business processes and its operating models, identifies process changes and leads the Business Process Management across AP.

Verifies delivery of systems within the business architecture requirements and conducts post-implementation reviews to confirm benefits realization/ROI.

Leads the development and continuous improvement of AP’s enterprise operating model, ensuring processes are robust, scalable, and aligned to strategic and business goals and maintains a process knowledge repository with lessons learned.

Oversees the team responsible for analyzing business processes across Business Groups (BGs), identifying inefficiencies, and developing prioritized recommendations for improvement.

Serves as the Center of Excellence for business process management across AP Business Groups, establishing enterprise standards and methodology frameworks and providing advisory support to BG-level process counterparts on complex process issues and improvement initiatives.

Establishes and governs a structured process improvement program, applying recognized process improvement or equivalent quality management methodologies; prioritizes initiatives based on business impact, assigns process ownership, tracks progress, and reports outcomes to the Chief HR Officer (CHRO).

Develops forward-looking compliance approach, identifying control gaps to strengthen operational compliance.

Develops and implements quality assurance mechanisms to verify that process changes deliver measurable and sustained results, including control plans, monitoring frameworks, and post-implementation reviews.

Evaluates AP business processes for AI augmentation and automation potential, working with HR Technology and relevant business units to identify, prioritize, and support the implementation of AI-driven process improvements.

Perform other tasks and related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the CHRO.
Requirements:
Experience (No. of Years):

Professional: At least 7 years’ experience in business process management.

Leadership: At least 5 years’ experience in any leadership role.

Project Management: At least 5 years’ experience in handling and completing projects.

Process Improvement: Demonstrated track record of leading or sponsoring structured process improvement initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or any 4-year related course. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, preferred.
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement certification (required); Black Belt or equivalent preferred.
