Asset Reliability Supervisor
Will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of the Asset Reliability strategy of the Renewable Energy sector in alignment with established policies and procedures. The role will coordinate with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams in performing work programs and monitoring asset management activities, while continuously optimizing and improving asset management processes through regular program reviews. It will also lead the Asset Reliability Team in evaluating maintenance programs and recommending improvements to enhance site performance and operational efficiency without compromising generation output or plant health.
- Asset Management and Plant Reliability
Supervises and guides the reliability engineers in the governance, adoption, or localization of Asset Management Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines relating to Powerplant Systems for the RE technology Business Units. - Supervises the reliability engineers in the implementation and ensures that the asset management systems, such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Asset Condition Assessment (ACA), Failure Mode, Effects, Critical Assessment (FMECA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Life Cycle Management, are executed according to policies and procedures
- Ensures that reliability and asset management processes are reviewed for continuous improvement and that implementation of the identified items is included in the annual departmental planning process
- Ensures that the technical incidents are well managed under the Asset Management Root Cause Analysis Guidelines. Streamline process and implement effective technical incident management governance.
- Technical resource for incident management as RCA experts, and provides reliability insights to the investigation team and O&M of RE technologies to ensure balance and integrity of the reports. Gives an asset management approach in recommending corrective measures to ensure that lessons learned are implemented across the whole RE fleet.
Risk Management
- Guides the reviewing team on the implementation of the Management and Change (MOC) initiation, specifically for plant-related assets (reliability focus).
- Ensures that the risk identification and process in the asset management system and processes related to asset reliability are identified, addressed, and managed (identified equipment failures and risk treatment plans)
Stakeholder Engagement
- Conducts or attends meetings with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and concerns related to RE Reliability & Asset Management
Administrative Reports and Functions
- Provides direction and oversight to the activities of the Asset Reliability Group. Supervises coordination with other teams for the consolidation and preparation of regular reports for the Executive Summary
- Provides direction to reliability engineers for report generation and dashboard creation to ensure asset management system visibility for relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
Perform other related tasks and/or functions that may be assigned by the Department Head
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or other Engineering disciplines relevant to the electric power generation industry.
- Must be a Registered Mechanical Engineer, Registered Chemical Engineer, Registered Electrical Engineer, or hold an equivalent engineering license.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the electric power generation industry (geothermal, thermal, industrial, or related).
- At least 2 years of leadership experience and 2 years of project experience.
- With Root Cause Analysis training.
- Certification in Asset Management Systems and/or Maintenance and Reliability Professional certification is preferred.
- A Master’s Degree in a technical engineering-related course is an advantage.
